Paestum, Velia and MuSea (Museum of the Sea) – 4 days and 3 nights
Day 1 – Castellabate
Arrival and accommodation in hotel. Excursion to Castellabate, a picturesque village declared World Heritage site by Unesco in 2010. The city is also well known because it was the cinematographic set of “Benvenuti al Sud” (Welcome to the south), an Italian comedy film directed by Luca Miniero. In the evening, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 – Paestum and Grottoes of Castelcivita
After breakfast, departure for Paestum – the ancient Greek city once called Poseidonia in honour of the god of Sea-where you can enjoy a guided tour in a local dairy farm to see how “Mozzarella DOP” (Buffalo Mozzarella cheese) is produced. At the end you can taste delicious and fresh products from the hands of the “CASARO” (cheesemaker). Then, excursion to the archeological site with its magnificent Greek Temples: beautiful vestiges of Magna Graecia. Later, a guided tour to the National Museum where you can visit its interesting rooms as the one of “TOMBA DEL TUFFATORE” (Tomb of the Diver ) -the first example of colored painting in the history of civilization. In the afternoon, you can admire one of the most amazing creation of the Nature built up in thousands years: CASTELCIVITA CAVES. The underground caves system, also known as “Devil’s caves”, “Spartacus’ caves” or “Prince of Piemonte’s caves”, is located between the banks of the river Calore and South-Ovest coast of The Alburni Mounts. It shows us suggestive galleries and straits, dug by the action of karst erosion and at the end it leads to a wide river basin called “Terminale lake” In the evening, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 – Velia and Pioppi
After breakfast, departure for Elea/Velia: the city where the Greek philosopher Parmenides and his disciple Zeno elaborated the Eleatic doctrine. In the afternoon, stop in Pioppi, the city where the father of Mediterranean Diet –the scientist Ancel Keys- lived and conceived its humanity’s heritage. Later, visit To MuSea: the beautiful Museum of Sea where an expert biologist will help to discover the Mediterranean marine habitats represented in its rooms. In the evening, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 – Agropoli
After breakfast excursion to the medieval centre of Agropoli to discover its alleys, churches and above all to ascend to its ancient Castle located on a headland. Here, you can enjoy a fantastic scenery.
At the end, greeting and…Arrivederci!
